Sophie Placido

For as long as she can remember, Sophie has enjoyed telling stories. She loves painting pictures with her words, taking readers and listeners on a journey of discovery.

Sophie has a First Class Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Sheffield, and whether it’s poetry, short stories, or her planned novel, she always has a writing project on the go.

A loving auntie to Mia, Jimmy and Enzo, she started writing children’s tales to share with them the pleasure of a good book.

Sophie published her first children’s book, The Happy Puppy, in August 2022.

When she’s not writing, Sophie is a Director at a full-service communications agency in London.

Sophie lives in London with her partner, Marc.
